Worried You Won’t Be Able to Fill a Skip Bin? Share One!

One of the main concerns that people have when it comes to renting a skip bin, is whether ornotthey’re going to be able to fill it. People worry that they’re going to be wasting theirmoney and that even the smallest skip isn’t going to do. But in the same breath, they don’tfancy the idea of doing a tonne of trips back and forth from the tip, getting the car messy andwasting fuel. It’s a conundrum indeed, though one which a very simple solution: share a skipbin with your neighbour.

Share a Skip Bin

OK, so this might not be as simple and straight forward as we’re perhaps making out. For example, your neighbour could be one of those stereotypical ‘neighbours from hell’ that you see in the movies and the idea of sharing anything other than a cold stare with them sounds like torture.

And then of course, there’s whether or not your neighbour will actually have any use for a skip bin. Perhaps they’ve done all of their DIY and are quite happy with their home at the moment, – in that case its not going to work for you either.

However, there’s no harm in asking them. It could be that they’ve been toying with the idea of renovating their bathroom or perhaps clearing out all of the crap in their garage. A simple discussion could result in the perfect resolution to your problem.

By making the suggestion will more often than not, prompt them to think of something that they’ve been meaning to get round to and then you can come to an agreement on when to rent a skip.

The Correct Waste and the Right Size

Just be sure that you know what type of waste they will need to dispose of and how much waste they estimate they’ll have. We would always advise that you go a little bit bigger if possible, because 9 times out of 10, people end up with way much more waste than they first anticipated.

That and the last thing you need is to end up fighting over who has used up the most space if you fill it up prematurely. Then what was once a solution to a problem will have developed into an entirely new, more awkward problem!

However, provided you do the right amount of research before rushing ahead, you shouldn’t have any problems at all. Shop around until you find the right skip bin hire company for you and ensure that they dispose of waste safely and efficiently.

Also, any reputable skip bin hire company worth their salt will be able to advise you accordingly on which size will be best suited to yours and your neighbours requirements.
